Nov. 20th - Cuverville Island

We are currently “parked” at Cuverville Island. It is a great view but windy and cold! It is surrounded by mountains of the Antarctica Peninsula and Danco Island in the Gerlache Straight.

The Gentoo penguins are very popular here. This island hosts about 5000 pairs of the Gentoo penguins and we saw a lot of them today!

I then went on an ice cruise to see the island and the icebergs - cold but beautiful!
