Valparaíso was not quite what I expected yesterday. The lower part of the city was full of graffiti and looked very worn. The guide said the graffiti was recent due to the protests but some looked pretty old. There were protests there also. One of the pictures I took from bus shows a group of young people going to it. The higher part of the city was nicer and you could see the colorful hillside houses that you would expect.
We will be flying to Punta Arenas today on a charter flight. Should be interesting since we got word that airport employees are striking. We will be getting on our cruise ship Tuesday afternoon, the MS Roald Amundsen. This is a link to track where it is going in the Antarctica. Enjoy!
