Nov. 22nd - Elephant Island

Heading north on our way to Falkland Island, the ship stopped so we could view Elephant Island. I know now a lot more about Sir Ernest Shackleton then I did yesterday! We went to a lecture and also watched Part 1 of the Shackleton Documentary. Elephant Island is where the crew of Shackleton’s shipwrecked Endurance expedition camped and survived for four months. They were rescued though!
We were there for some time this morning and now and tomorrow traveling north to the Falkland Islands.
